Liberty Schindel, CEcD
Manager of Economic & Business Development
WORKING WITH ME—THREE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
- I bring insight into community opportunities. As the former director of economic development for Pickerington, Ohio, I negotiated the city’s first job retention and creation grant with one of its largest employers. Before that, I served as an economic development specialist for Independence, Ohio, where I spearheaded the first business retention and expansion program, engaging nearly 1,000 businesses annually. Drawing from my experience as a district outreach representative for U.S. Congressman Steven C. LaTourette, I can help you navigate federal, state and regional requirements and connect you to my network of relationships built over years of service in the public sector.
- I graduated from the University of Dayton and earned an MPA from Cleveland State University Levin College of Urban Affairs. I also graduated from the Jo Ann Davidson Ohio Leadership Institute. I am a certified economic developer (CEcD) through the International Economic Development Council and hold an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) certification from the National Development Council.
- I’m an active volunteer and have served on the boards of local chambers of commerce as well as a wide variety of community organizations. Currently, I serve on the board of Hilliard Development Corporation.
