AEP continues to add key experience to our Economic & Business Development team. Dale Fowler, CEcD has rejoined AEP as Economic & Business Development Manager for AEP Texas, effective April 12, 2021 . He will join our team focused on growing jobs and industry in the south and west Texas communities.
Dale brings more than 25 years of economic development experience to AEP, having most recently served as president of the Victoria Economic Development Corporation in Victoria, Texas. Having served in this role since 2001, Dale led the community’s effort to attract new industry as well as retain and expand existing industry in the area. He also worked closely with local, state and federal officials to promote business at both the local and regional levels. Prior to that role, Fowler worked in economic development for AEP.
He received his Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree with a concentration in business and marketing from the University of Houston – Victoria and graduated from the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute. Dale is a certified economic developer with the International Economic Development Council and maintains membership in the Texas Economic Development Council where he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2020.
During his career, Dale has received a number of honors including being named one of North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers by Consultant Connect in 2018. He also had the honor of being appointed by the Texas Comptroller to serve on the Economic Incentive Oversight Board in 2015, and has maintained membership with several business and development organizations in his community.
He and his wife Dana reside in Victoria, and are the proud parents of two daughters.
